Richard Reznik joined Detroit PAL as a sports commissioner in April of 2002 after having served as the Baseball Commissioner at Orchards Children’s Services for six years.
Richard worked in conjunction with Major League Baseball’s “Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI)” program. He is also responsible for Detroit PAL’s Boys and Girls Basketball Leagues. Richard understands the importance of sportsmanship and makes it mandatory that all kids shake hands after every game and respect each other on the court or diamond.
Richard is the 2004 ESPN Fantasy Baseball Champion, a competition in which he competed against 200,000 participants. Richard’s other interests include word and trivia games, fantasy football and bowling – to which he has two 300 games to his credit.
At Oak Park High School, Richard competed in baseball, football, soccer and cross country. Richard is a proud Michigan State alumnus.
