Darius Slay, cornerback for the Detroit Lions, might be known for football, but he just held a great soccer camp for PAL’s youth players. PAL’s soccer players, ages 9-14, were invited to the Detroit Lions training facility on Saturday, April 1 for a half-day soccer camp. The camp was perfectly timed, as the PAL soccer programs are getting underway this month!
Darius Slay has been a great partner with Detroit PAL throughout the last year. This past fall, Darius surprised one of PAL’s youth football leagues at practice to invite a player and his family to the Thanksgiving Day Lions game. Darius continued the good spirit by inviting PAL families to a Thanksgiving dinner.
Thank you Detroit Lions and Darius Slay for hosting PAL’s soccer players. For pictures from the camp, please visit the Detroit Lions’ website here.
