Detroit City FC Hosts Soccer Clinic

June 30, 2016

The Detroit City Football Club has been a great partner of Detroit PAL’s over the past few years. This year is off to another great start!

Detroit City FC held a free clinic for Detroit PAL soccer players on June 12th at their new home, Keyworth Stadium. Dozens of PAL soccer players traveled to Hamtramck to learn from the Detroit City FC players and coaches. They did drills and were able to play with the professionals!

After the clinic was over, each participant had the opportunity to get autographs from the City players before getting ready for the game! That night, the Detroit City FC took on the Lansing United and all clinic participants were invited to stay and watch. They were in for a good match! Bo20160612_165733th teams fought hard and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

In addition to attending the game that night, each clinic participant was given a season pass to come back and enjoy even more soccer throughout 2016! What a great treat for these young soccer players.

Thank you to Detroit City FC for hosting this free clinic again this year. It gives our kids the opportunity to learn from the best and get a glimpse of what playing soccer on a higher level is like. Everyone had a great time and we look forward to the rest of the DCFC season!
