We would like to thank FirstMerit Bank and Ignition Media Group for selecting Detroit PAL and four other local non- profit organizations that share our same mission, which is to make Detroit a better place, the opportunity to be showcased across the city of Detroit. Along with Detroit PAL, The Skillman Foundation, The Michigan Science Center, The Belle Isle Conservancy and The Detroit Institute of Arts will be on billboards all around the city of Detroit in FirstMerit’s efforts to highlight the volunteers within these organizations who do the ground work on a daily basis. We are grateful to be chosen for this opportunity and we could not have selected a better volunteer of Detroit PAL to represent our 1,500 volunteers who work with the 11,000 children we serve annually. Deandre Moss has been a volunteer coaching in our basketball program for nearly 20 years. Volunteers like Deandre Moss, is what gives Detroit PAL the opportunity to provide quality programming to children between the ages of 4 to 19 years old year after year. Be sure to drive by our billboard that is near Comerica Park on Adams St, right off of Woodward Ave. in downtown Detroit.
To discuss the ad campaign, Tim Richey, CEO of Detroit PAL; Sandy Pierce of First Merit Bank and Dennis Archer Jr. of Ignition Media Group sat down with Chuck Stokes of Channel 7 Actions News to discuss the billboards and why it’s so important for businesses to become more involved in revitalizing the city of Detroit. The interview begins at the 14:00 minute mark in the video below:
