Detroit PAL’s recreational volleyball season got started on Saturday, January 21st at locations all around Detroit! The volleyball program at PAL is for girls ages 9-14. In 2016, the volleyball program had nearly 500 participants! Games will continue until March, when PAL will hold the All-Star Game and Championships.
Volleyball is a big part of the Girls Changing the Game Program at Detroit PAL. PAL is committed to offering opportunities for girls in youth sports. The Girls Changing the Game Program aims to provide increased quality programming for the girls Detroit PAL currently serves and to increase the number of girls that participate in Detroit PAL programs. Dr. Ramona Cox, Associate Athletic Director, oversees the program.
Detroit PAL has made great strides towards increasing girls participation over the past few years. We hope to continue this trend and serve more girls in 2017 than ever before!
