Detroit PAL held Volunteer Appreciation Day at the PAL office on November 19th. More than 1,700 volunteers were invited to join us at PAL for a day of fun! We had college football on the projector, games to play, a Photo Booth, and refreshments for all to enjoy.
Detroit PAL’s Athletic Directors were there throughout the day to thank their volunteers. As a small sign of our gratitude, every volunteer was given a PAL T-shirt and thank you card from the Athletic Director in charge of their sport.
Everyone had a fun time at Volunteer Appreciation Day! We would not be able to serve more than 12,000 kids each year without the help of our amazing volunteers who give more than 250,000 volunteer hours each year! Every volunteer helps PAL build character in kids, and we hope this event helped us say Thank You! We look forward to more volunteer events in the future!
Thank you Forgotten Harvest and Avalon International Breads for donating food to our event!
All volunteers who could not make the event can still pick up their thank you card and t-shirt at the PAL office until December 22nd! For more pictures from the event, please click here.
