Dear PAL Participants, Coaches, Parents & Volunteers,

During this current health crisis, Governor Whitmer and other local officials have strictly forbid the practice of social gatherings. As the State of Michigan’s lock down continues, Detroit PAL stands firm on the orders of the State and as such there should be no youth gatherings/practices at this time. At no time should any illegal gathering be considered or described as a “PAL” sanctioned event.
We ask that you continue to follow the stay at home orders (click here) until it is deemed safe by local, state and federal health officials to resume some level of play again. As we move towards that day when kids can play as they always have, everyone should make certain that we do so as safely as humanly possible. Safe play guidelines shall be issued at a later date but for now, please stay home and stay safe. Anyone who disregards the State orders and identifies as a “PAL team” may be subject to expulsion from Detroit PAL for the coming season.
– David Greenwood, Detroit PAL Director of Programs & Operations
